Japanese

Thing promise is a promise: 1st indent my wishlist checked, I went yesterday to see the exhibition layouts of Japanese Albert Khan Museum. I love this museum, created by a wealthy banker of the early twentieth century, passionate Asia and Japan in particular. The museum is surrounded by a Japanese garden, very pleasant in summer. I have memories of a little girl, because I went from time to walk when I was (more) young.
And then we must also say that I have a certain tropism Asian: Asian cultures have always drawn, and I recently spent 5 months in India. I also like their philosophy, even if it is not mine: the constant search for harmony between the elements, against the refusal of opposites (the yin and yang famous example), and hitting people ..
I went to see this exhibition, Japanese Plates, which deserves to make you cross the ring road (the museum is ultimately 10 to Boulogne). The photos were taken in Japan early last century (puree one is really 2011?) By operators of Albert Khan kinds of thugs he sent to the other side of the world to capture Images in this elsewhere if different.
Interest is less aesthetic and cultural: the pictures are not spectacular, far away, but still a quaint conferred upon them by the technique of the time: autochrome, the first industrial process real color photographs. However, they can learn many features of Japanese culture: the exhibition is composed of several sections: Poetry in gardens, the sense of place, Noh Theatre, The soul of the landscape that cover different aspects of Japanese society: clothing, religion, arts, social rituals etc.. And then the exhibition is quite playful with a short film in 3D, for example.
You learn that in Japan there is the celebration of "7-5-3": it takes place every November 15th, and during this festival, children 3, 5 and 7 years in the spotlight go the Shinto shrine with their parents to pray and ask the gods to grant them prosperity and happiness. Assimilated and that the Japanese love the summer period when the cherry blossoms fall, this time full of grace and melancholy ..
